Nui Cobalt Designs

Nui Cobalt Designs sent me some lovely perfumes to sample and review. I have never tried any scents from this house, so I was excited to try them. These are the ones I picked:

Divine Mother – Formulated under the potent auspices of the New Moon (on Monday!) in Cancer, this potion sustains stable, effective, and nurturing care.
Purple orchid, non-indolic jasmine, dark amber resin, wild blueberry, Egyptian musk, sacred benzoin, black sandalwood, clove, and a touch of lime blossom.
Wear to refill your own well and maintain your energy while being a loving caretaker to others.
At first, the florals are prominent. I can definitely smell the benzoin and lime blossom, they give it an elevated air, very calming. Close to my skin, it’s more floral, but the waft is ambery musk. 

Divine Feminine – An ode to the Universal Goddess in all of her aspects.
Madagascar vanilla bean, coconut water, white amber, myrrh, cubeb, sacred benzoin, and a glimmer of cardamom.
Wear to ignite your own divine connection and become open to abundance.
I’m not sure what is giving me a lemony vibe. Like a lemon meringue. I thought this one would be smooth with a touch of spice. I’ll have to try it again later. 

Starlight & Spider Silk – Swift and skillful, her instinct’s artistry glimmers with deadly precision. This beguiling blend empowers you to ensnare the objects of your desire and attract every manner of earthly delight. Slender strands of cotton flower hung with trembling dewdrops, cold crystalline musk, and tiny black vanilla beans. 
Ermahgerd, this is AMAZING! Soft, sweet, yet clean and light. Oh, this is niiiiice… and it lasts FOREVER! Definitely getting a full bottle of this one.

Incense & Spider Silk – A meditative variation on our beloved Starlight and Spidersilk.
Slender strands of cotton flower hung with trembling dewdrops, cold crystalline musk, tiny black vanilla beans, light and dark amber, copal, nag champa, frankincense, and myrrh. Wear to quiet the thoughts and open the mind. It is particularly helpful in restoring calm after stressful encounters.
I love incense! This is fabulous, it’s the perfect amount, not overwhelming. The cotton flower and crystalline musk keep it kind of light. It does feel very calming. 

Sultry – A time-honored conjure blend, famous for its power to attract passionate love as well as abundant wealth. Two dark, lascivious vanillas swirled with dragon’s blood, heavy velvet musk and the secrets of an old rootworker’s conjure cabinet. 
You can sense the power in this! I get mostly the dragon’s blood and musk. It’s deep and fresh at the same time. I feel like it cleared my mind and magnified my aura. 

Black Moon – This proliferant perfume is teeming with generative force and fierce fecundity. It nourishes and the seeds of intention, filling them with raw vitality. It’s a master of manifestation, propelling invocations toward fulfillment … so be careful what you wish for.
Dark incense coils about an ebony altar abounding in spiced fig preserves, saffron-poached plums, green mandarin, and honey on the comb.
Black Moon is handcrafted and charged under the rare auspices of the second consecutive New Moon in a single sign. Like the Blue Moon, this event holds uniquely amplified power to bless new beginnings and access hidden reserves of magical potency.
Mmm… this is dark and sweet. Like taking a bite of a sweetly spiced dessert. I’m really enjoying the incense blends from Nui Cobalt. They’re beautifully blended. 

Charisma Bonus – A seriously sexy fragrance to ensnare the objects of your desire. Spiced black patchouli languishing in vanilla honey with scattered ylang petals and catnip leaves. Wear this potion to make an excellent first impression, to capture the attention of influential people, or to inspire passion during amorous encounters.
This one is really good! It’s spicy, yet sexy & sweet. I feel like a beautiful badass, lol. 

Black Cat – A traditional folk magic blend for fast luck and abundant blessings.
Darkly sweet pipe tobacco, blackcurrant, and chai spices amid the swirling smoke of sacred nag champa and myrrh. Wear this dusky potion to invoke protection and great fortune.
Blackcurrant and I normally do not get along. I can smell it here, but blended with the other notes, it’s still wearable for me. I don’t actually get the pipe tobacco. Overall, another good utility scent. 

Flow – A fresh and liberating flor-aquatic scent to help you get un-stuck.
Blue lotus, dewy plumeria, silken shea, and cool cerulean musk.
Wear to dissolve heaviness and stagnation so that your energy may move freely.
This is very clean, almost soapy, smelling. I love it! 

Grace – A tender aroma to ease your mind and open your heart.
Sun-warmed pink magnolia, wild rose, pearl musk, vanilla orchid, and organic tonka bean butter.
Wear to release self-judgment, increase compassion, and embrace every aspect of your being.
I had really high hopes for this one, because I love magnolia and rose, but it’s not what I was envisioning. I will try it again, without expectations. 

Stillness – A gently grounding scent for comfort and stability.
Black amber, patchouli, spikenard, oakmoss, Himalayan cedar, sweet myrrh resin, and a wisp of palo santo.
Wear for a solid sense of security and to restore rootedness.
If you like soft, dark scents, this is for you! It’s slightly woody, and almost has a powdery feel to it. 

Siamese Cat – Strong black tea, tobacco flower, fuzzy peach skin, mimosa blossom, and blush suede. Wear to remember your effortless individuality, power, and conviction.
This is sweet peach and soft light florals. Very pretty. 

Pumpkinocalypse – Perfectly baked pumpkin pie, still warm from the oven and garnished with nasturtium flowers. Wear to relax and unwind in a state of cozy comfort.
So pumpkiny! Almost a buttery pumpkin, but maybe that’s the flaky buttery crust I’m getting. 

Overall, I really liked these fragrances. Sometimes utility blends are not enjoyable to wear, but Nui Cobalt Designs has mastered it! I look forward to trying more from this brand. Thank you, Josh, for giving me this opportunity!
