I still followed my alphabetical scent of the day with the Facebook Fragrance Friends group, at least for a few days this week. Here are the perfumes I wore this week:
Sunday – Wood Sage & Sea Salt by Jo Malone
Waves breaking white, the air fresh with sea salt and spray. Alive with the mineral scent of the rugged cliffs. Mingling with the woody earthiness of sage.
This is a cologne mini that I got from Sephora as my birthday gift. Sephora has really stepped up their game in that area. This scent is fresh and airy, very easy to wear.
Monday: Colette by Tocca
Bergamot, Sandalwood, Pink Peppercorn, Incense
This is one of my favorite Scentbird picks. It’s so comforting. I chose to wear this one on Monday because we got the call that my mother-in-law wasn’t doing well, and we had to drive to Clovis. Sometimes being enveloped in a fragrance you love is like a silent hug when you need it. And we needed it.
Tuesday: X Appeal by Love Potion Perfumes
Top notes of apple blossom and tobacco flower drift forth from a pale musky floriental body sweetened by a splash of light bright spring honey and crystalline white sugar, with darker tinges of tobacco and musk in the base. We’ve included a dose of our exclusive SEXOLOGY pheromone blend, designed to encourage a deep lasting emotional bond with a decidedly lustful edge.
Back to the alphabet, this scent is one of my favorites. Super clean and soapy! It has a sexy pheromone in it, so I don’t wear it all the time, but I think it’s a fun contrast with the type of scent that it is. Plus my husband loves clean-type scents, anyway.
Wednesday: You by Glossier
Glossier You is heavy on warm, creamy base notes (musk, ambrette, and ambrox) that transform and smell a little different on everyone. Top notes of earthy, green iris root and spicy, sparkling pink pepper are fresh and clean without being overpowering.
Glossier You is a perfect everyday type of scent. It’s light, but musky, and lasts quite a while on me. It’s not overpowering at all. Are you familiar with the Kaleidoscope scent from Bath & Body Works? That body cream goes perfect with this perfume.
Thursday: Oil Perfumery’s Pure Poison
Orange blossom, Jasmine, Gardenia, Amber, Sandalwood
(Today was supposed to be the Z day, but I only had a sample of a Z perfume, and I didn’t feel like wearing it.) I bought this after watching YouTubers rave over it. I love clean soapy scents, and this is a soapy white floral. One of those just-stepped-out-of-the-shower scents.
Friday: Chloé L’eau EDT
Top: Magnolia
Heart: Jasmine, Rose
Base: Oak moss
I’ve mentioned before that Chloé EDP is one of my favorite perfumes, and could easily be my signature scent. Chloé L’eau EDT is more magnolia-forward, and I know I’ve professed my undying love of magnolia. This perfume is just gorgeous. It doesn’t have the longevity of the EDP, but it is so gorgeous, I keep a little decant of it with me to reapply.
Saturday: First Kiss by Layered Perfumes
Notes: Rhubarb, Litchi, Nutmeg,Turkish Rose, Peony, Petalia, Vanilla, Cedar, Vetiver, Cashmeran, Musk, Incense
This was inspired by Parfum de Marly’s Delina. It’s bright and fresh and girly. A little tart, but fruity and floral and unique. Great longevity.
So that was my week in Quarantine Perfumes, lol. I’m kind of sad that the A-Z scent of the day theme is over, that was fun. It got me to dig out some scents that I hadn’t worn in awhile. Maybe another theme will come around that I will join in. What perfumes did you wear this week?
