Scents of the week May 3 – May 9

First, I’d like to wish a Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there! Hope you had a lovely day, filled with flowers and mimosas!

Here are the perfumes I wore this week:

Sunday: Marsha Mellow by Love Potion Perfumes
Beloved vanilla and warm musk swirled with fluffy sweet marshmallow flavoring and given staying power with three drops of vetiver.
This is such a gorgeous scent, and it’s so comforting to me.

Monday: Chloé EDP
Top Notes: Peony, Lychee, Freesia
Heart Notes: Rose, Magnolia, Muguet
Base Notes: Amber, Cedar
Chloé is definitely my favorite perfume right now. And good thing, because Jasper got a hold of a sample and spilled it all over my floor!

Tuesday: Bel Azur by Tory Burch
Bergamot, Mandarin, Lemon, Neroli, Pink Peppercorn, Peony, Patchouli Heart, Vetiver Heart, Cedarwood Oil.
I like this best out of all the Tory Burch fragrances. It has such a breezy elegance. Beachy and blissful.

Wednesday: Oil Perfumery’s Coco Noir
Top Notes: Grapefruit, Calabrian Bergamot
Heart Notes: Rose, Narcissus, Rose Geranium Leaf and Jasmine
Base Notes: Tonka Bean, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Patchouli and White Musk Frankincense.
Now I’m sure at some point I’ve tried the real Coco Noir. When I purchased my Chance eau Fraîche, I think I smelled it. But that was a couple years ago and I don’t think I actually tried it on my skin. I blind bought this from Oil Perfumery, and OMFG. Where has this been all my life??? Every once in a while, I come across a perfume that I could literally wear every day. I can probably count them on one hand. This is definitely one of them.

Thursday: Delectable by Love Potion Perfumes
A blend of luscious buttercreme and caramel, further flavored with boozy vanilla extract on a base of sweet amber EO, then adorned with a voluptuous orchid in full bloom.
This pick was totally out of sync with the weather, but for some reason, I picked it up and put it on. It is a gorgeous floral gourmand that really lasts forever.

Friday: Goddess of the Blue Moon by Love Potion Perfumes
A serene heart of Asian musk and bamboo surrounded by intriguing accents of lotus, water lily and teak. Enhanced with LUMINA pheromone blend for accentuating that precious ‘glow’ of femininity ~ attractiveness, sparkle, happiness, youthful appeal and confidence. Sensual, certainly, but not overtly sexual.
I love this one – it’s great for spring/summer. Very cool and refreshing.

Saturday: Aegea Blossom by Aerin/Estee Lauder
Radiant Bergamot and Verbena give way to sheer Jasmine, Orange Flower and Neroli Petals finished with Musk and Sandalwood. In the final notes, glowing Musk surrenders to the sultry, lingering notes of Vetiver and Sandalwood, as warm as sunlight on water.
This is one of those beachy types of scents. It smells like tanned skin and sunscreen, ocean waves and warm sand. I really enjoy it, but like the other Aerin scents I’ve tried, it doesn’t last very long.
