Scents of the week Mar 8 – Mar 14

Sunday: Blonde Rose by Clean Reserve
Top Notes: Aldehydes, Water Accord
Middle Notes: Rose, Peony, Jasmine
Base Notes: Cedarwood, Sandalwood, Musk

This is such a pretty fresh rose scent. It doesn’t last super long, but it’s worth reapplying.

Monday: Confession time – I didn’t write down what I wore, and I can’t remember for the life of me!

Tuesday: Santal’s Kiss by Alexandria Fragrances
This is their impression of Le Labo Santal 33. Notes: Sandalwood, Papyrus, Leather, Virginia Cedar, Violet, Cardamom, Iris, Amber
I’ve never smelled Le Labo Santal 33, so I can’t compare them. On me, this starts out very green. Almost a bite-y green. My first thought is that I don’t like it. But as it dried down, I found myself drawn to it a bit. I don’t know that I would wear this often, but I might keep the sample.

Wednesday: Retro Flare (Gold) by Alexandria Fragrances
This is their impression of Gentle Fluidity Gold. Notes: Vanilla-Amber-Fresh Spicy-Woody-Aromatic-musky
I haven’t smelled the original of this one, either, but wow. This is really good. It’s sweet, but not overly so. Warm, soft, snuggly. The vanilla is really nice.

Thursday: Nostalgia by Alexandria Fragrances
This is their impression of MFK Oud Satin Mood. Notes: Bulgarian Rose, Vanilla, Oud, Benzoin, Violet
I love all of these notes, so it’s not surprising to me that I love this perfume. It’s fancy! So sleek, so smooth, so sexy.

Friday: Ancient Amber by Be Layered Perfumes
This is a single note fragrance based on Amber.
My daughter was being induced this day, so I wanted to wear something comforting.

Saturday: I came home to take a shower, and then was told that the hospital was no longer allowing visitors due to COVID-19 precautions! I don’t think I even put perfume on, I was so heartbroken..

I wasn’t able to get this up on Sunday, so I’m a little behind. Thanks for reading anyway! What’s your scent of the day?
