My perfumes for the week:
Monday: Oil Perfumery’s Fève Délicieuse
Notes: Venezuelan tonka bean, Madagascan vanilla, Caramel, Cocoa, Praline, Woods
I haven’t decided whether or not to keep this. It’s nice, but I only want to keep scents that I really love.
Tuesday: Oil Perfumery’s Chloé EDP
Top Notes: Peony, Lychee, Freesia
Heart Notes: Rose, Magnolia, Muguet
Base Notes: Amber, Cedar
Chloé could easily be my signature scent. It’s so fresh and clean and feminine. Oil Perfumery scents last a lot longer on my skin than a typical EDP.
Wednesday: Mon Guerlain
Notes: Carla Lavender, Vanilla Tahitensis, Sambac Jasmine, Album Sandalwood
This was my wedding scent! It’s sweet and pretty and elegant. The longevity isn’t very good, but I don’t mind reapplying.
Thursday: Dark Temptation by Layered Perfumes
Notes: Rose, Oud, Saffron, Vanilla, and some Woodsy notes
This is an impression of Lancôme’s Oud Bouquet. It starts out really weird on my skin, like burnt rubber, lol. But the drydown is AMAZEBALLS! Layered scents have great longevity, I could still smell it the next morning.
Friday: Spellbound by Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab
An irresistibly sexual, utterly rapturous blend of three roses, radiant amber, and sensual red musk
I love this – easily in my all time top 5. Bold, sexy, and gorgeous.
Saturday: First Kiss by Layered Perfumes
Notes: Rhubarb, Litchi, Nutmeg,Turkish Rose, Peony, Petalia, Vanilla, Cedar, Vetiver, Cashmeran, Musk, Incense
This was inspired by Parfum de Marly’s Delina. It’s bright and fresh and girly. A little tart, but fruity and floral and unique. Great longevity.
Not all of these had rose, but most of them did, so I’m counting this as #RosesWeek – I have a lot of rose perfumes, let’s see how far I can go!
Right now I only want to wear scents that I really love.
