My perfumes for the week:
Sunday: Sneaky Clean by Love Potion Magickal Perfumerie
a heart of elegant white lilac and magnolia is blended with a fuzzy soap accord and a sheer base of vanilla musk with a sweet touch of cactus flower honey. Mine is an older bottle with the pheromone Super Sexy for Women, but the current bottles have the pheromone Lumina.
This is such an easy perfume to wear. I reach for it often when I don’t know what else to put on. It’s clean, it’s pretty. It’s just so good.
Monday: X Appeal by Love Potion Magickal Perfumerie
top notes of apple blossom and tobacco flower drift forth from a pale musky floriental body sweetened by a splash of light bright spring honey and crystalline white sugar, with darker tinges of tobacco and musk in the base. We’ve included a dose of our exclusive SEXOLOGY pheromone blend, designed to encourage a deep lasting emotional bond with a decidedly lustful edge. Sexy and snuggly, playful and sultry.
I don’t actually get any of the florals in this. To me, it’s a bright clean scent, with a lot of white musk. It’s the perfect just-stepped-out-of-the-shower scent.
Tuesday: First Love by Victoria’s Secret
The heart of this fragrance combines two delicate first blooms of spring: budding Violet Leaf and Lily of the Valley. Pure and “green” in scent, these notes mix with soft, Sheer Musk for a skin-hugging and effortless feel.
I went into VS, wanting to buy a rollerball of this, but they were all sold out. I had to settle for a body mist, and the longevity was NOT very good. The scent itself was very pretty, though.
Wednesday: Magnolia by Commodity
A carefree duet of crisp greens and soft florals, notably magnolia and waterlily, are anchored by an alluring musk base.
Magnolia is my favorite scent EVER. This is a beautiful magnolia, although sometimes a waft will hit me a little harsh, I think it’s the musk.
Thursday: Wood Sage and Sea Salt by Jo Malone
Waves breaking white, the air fresh with sea salt and spray. Alive with the mineral scent of the rugged cliffs. Mingling with the woody earthiness of sage.
I got this as my birthday gift from Sephora. It’s fresh and airy, I don’t see how anyone could dislike this. It doesn’t last super long, but then, it’s a cologne, not a perfume, so it’s not as concentrated. I used to work in an office where the boss didn’t like us to wear scented anything, but I would still wear clean, close-to-the-skin type scents. This would have fit the bill nicely.
Friday: Narciso Rodriguez for her EDT
Honey Flower, Solar Musk, Orange Blossom, Osmanthus, Amberlyn, Vanilla, Tactile Musk, Tactile Woods, Vetiver
This is another scent that I feel is easy to wear around just about anybody. It’s a light, fresh musky scent.
Saturday: JLo Glow
Neroli, pink grapefruit, rose, sandalwood, amber, musk, jasmine, iris, and vanilla
I bought this one as a blind-buy because it is so well-loved. However, I just can’t get my nose around it. To me, it smells like hairspray. I keep trying though, to see if there’s just something I’m missing.
