Yay!!! I’m finally able to post my scents of the week! LOL I’ve been really busy with my grandbaby, and trying to adjust to COVID life. But this week, I’ve been using my planner, and can actually make a post!
Sunday: Oil Perfumery’s version of Magnolia Nobile
Top Notes: Bergamot, Lemon
Heart Notes: Magnolia, Rose, Jasmine, Tuberose
Base notes: Sandalwood, Patchouli, Vetiver, Vanilla
This is the perfect perfume for summer. It’s bright and floral and fresh. The truest magnolia scent I’ve found, so far. Oil Perfumery fragrances have great longevity.
Monday: Versace Crystal Noir
Top – cardamom, pepper, ginger
Middle – gardenia, peony, orange flower
Base – amber, sandalwood, musk
I have a Scentbird decant of this – it took awhile to grow on me. It’s very lush and creamy. The musk is really pretty.
Tuesday: La Femme by Prada
Frangipani, Honey, Tuberose, Ylang Ylang, Vetiver, Vanilla
La Femme is such a classy scent, and the frangipani really makes it a great summer fragrance. It feels very fancy.
Wednesday: Donna Rosa Verde by Valentino
A radiant fragrance that captures the shimmering sunlight of Italy. A clash of noble ingredients with the bright florals of rose absolute and lily of the valley lifted by the sparkling freshness of lemon and green tea accord.
I don’t have anything like this in my collection! It’s so unique. I get mostly green tea and ginger at first, but as it dries down, the florals come out, and it’s so fresh and pretty!
Thursday: La Nuit Trésor by Lancôme
Fresh raspberry, frankincense, and vanilla, with a bewitching heart of Black Rose essence
So, every Wednesday, FragranceNet does a giveaway on Instagram. It’s called Win What You Want Wednesday. You just have to “like” their photo, comment what you want to win, and tag a friend. Well, a couple of weeks ago, I WON!!! I was very careful about what I picked, because sometimes they are sold out of certain scents, and of course they’re not going to pick you to win if they can’t fulfill it. After looking up a few on their website, I chose La Nuit Trésor. I received it a few days ago and it was huge! 2.5 ounces! I thought for sure they’d send the smallest one, lol. Anyway, it’s gorgeous and I love it!
Friday: Fatal Attraction by Be Layered
Cambodian Jasmine, Amber, Cashmere Wood
I’ve seen reviews of this that compare it to Alien, although it’s not listed on the Layered website as an Alien dupe. Karina Waldron has compared it to Alien Essence Absolue on her YouTube channel, although she says to layer it with Vanilla Dreams. It’s been years since I’ve tried Alien, so I can’t really say. I’m tempted to try it with Vanilla Dreams, if I can get my hands on it. I’m not a huge lover of jasmine, but it’s pretty in this fragrance. the amber and woods give it a sweet, smooth depth. I’m going to keep trying it, to see how it grows on me.
Saturday: Dylan Blue by Versace
New and exquisite qualities of natural citrus, aquatic notes, and violet leaves combine with modern hints of fig leaf to give an incisive, Mediterranean freshness.
I’ve worn this a couple of times – I have a mini from Sephora that I got with my points. It’s clean and elegant. But I don’t really love it. I’ll probably list it on Mercari eventually. I feel like life is too short to wear perfumes that you don’t love.
What perfumes did you wear this week? Tell me in the comments below:
